Why Matan exists
In Muscat, most print shops still operate on two tools: a WhatsApp group and an Excel sheet. Customers send files on WhatsApp, owners count pages manually, and prices are quoted by memory. It works — until it doesn't.
Matan started as a conversation with a shop owner near Sultan Qaboos University. He was spending 40% of his day on tasks that a computer could do in seconds: counting pages, calculating prices, texting order-ready notifications. Every single day.
We built Matan to eliminate that 40%. Not to add another dashboard to look at — to remove the manual work entirely.
Today, shop owners using Matan spend zero time counting pages, generating quotes, or texting pickup notifications. That time goes back to what they're actually good at: running a shop.
